AMI 3-6 Orientation Certificate

The Association Montessori Internationale 3-6 Orientation Certificate Course is designed to offer an overview of the development of 3-6 aged tamaiti/child and a clear understanding of how Montessori principles and practice can help tamariki/children reach their full potential.

This 60-hour AMI 3-6 Orientation Certificate includes oral language development, aids to independence, the importance and coordination of movement, music, social development, the roles of the adults in the prepared environment and more.  

The course offers 'live' online learning plus independent study and 9 hours of observation.

If you are;

* an ECE qualified kaiārahi/guide in a Montessori setting 

* a parent, grandparent, nanny, carer or professional working alongside tamariki aged 2.6 - 6 years

AMI 3-6 Director of Training - Carol Potts

Carol is an AMI 3-6 Trainer. She is a trustee of the Maria Montessori Education Foundation, the affiliated AMI training centre in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She is an AMI examiner, consultant and mentor and has offered workshops and training in and for Australia, Japan, China & Bahrain. Carol is one of the AMI training faculty in Beijing, China. She will be the Director of Training for the next AMI 3-6 Diploma commencing April 2026.

The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Assistants to Infancy Orientation Certificate is an introduction to the philosophy and practice of the Montessori approach for the child under the age of three.

 This Course is a MUST for?

• Anyone with an interest in the profundity of human development during the first three years of life. Offering essential aids to support the unfolding personality.
• Kaiako, centre owners, administrators and professionals working with tamariki under three years.

The course also offers invaluable insights for parents, whānau and kaiārahi/guides regarding development from birth to three years. The content brings in current research in connection to Montessori's pedagogy.
