A.M.I. 3-6 Orientation Course

Who is the Course for?

  • ECE kaiako (teachers) working in a Montessori environment.
  • Parents/whanau of tamariki (children) aged 2 1/2 to 6 years of age
  • Professionals seeking to know more about the Montessori approach to child development

Further, the course may provide essential information for Montessori centre owners and administrators.

The course presents an overview of the development of the child in accordance with Dr  Montessori's principles and philosophy. Particular emphasis is given to children aged 21/5 to six years. 

 

Duration of the Course

The course will run for 10 days, hours 9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m plus nine hours (9) of observation.

Carol has had the privilege of working with tamariki and their families and whanau for over 25 years.

She is one of the trustees of the Maria Montessori Education Foundation (MMEF), the affiliated AMI training centre of Aotearoa, New Zealand. She is also an AMI examiner, consultant and mentor and will be the Director of Training for the AMI 3-6 Diploma commencing in September 2020.
