The on-line delivery hours are 12.30p.m. - 4.30p.m.
There will be an additional 20 hours off-line study (to be completed independently) plus 9 hours of observations.

Who is the course for?
- Anyone with an interest in human development relating to the first three years of life.
- The course will be an essential aid for kaiako, centre owners, administrators and childcare professionals working
with tamariki under three years.
- The course offers invaluable insights for parents, whānau and kaiārahi (guides) regarding development from birth
to three years.
- Those considering the AMI Assistance to Infancy (0-3) Diploma starting in May 2021. The Diploma Course
Enrolment Fee ($500) will be waivered for students studying both programmes commencing in 2021.

The A.M.I. 3-6 Orientation Certificate Course Description
The Association Montessori Internationale 3-6 Orientation Certificate Course is designed to give an overview of the 3-6 tamaiti (child) and a clear understanding of Montessori philosophy regarding tamariki (children) of this age. On this course you will discover how Montessori principles and practice can help tamariki reach their full potential.
Who is the Course for?
This course is suitable for any adult who wants to better understand the Montessori approach to child development, including;
Further, the course may provide essential information for Montessori centre owners and administrators.
The course presents an overview of the development of the child in accordance with Dr Montessori's principles and philosophy. Particular emphasis is given to children aged 2.5 to 6 years.
Duration of the Course
The course will be offered over 10 days, hours 9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m plus nine hours (9) of observation.
AMI 3-6 Director of Training - Carol Potts
Carol has had the privilege of working with tamariki and their families and whānau for over 25 years.
She is one of the trustees of the Maria Montessori Education Foundation (MMEF), the affiliated AMI training centre of Aotearoa, New Zealand. She is also an AMI examiner, consultant and mentor and is the Director of Training for the current AMI 3-6 Diploma.
